Jim Matousek

Jim is currently retired but during his professional career, he held responsible tax and accounting management positions in publicly listed companies, and an equity partner in a public accounting firm. Jim is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois. He has had extensive experience in the Illinois CPA Society, the AICPA, Tax Executives Institute and President of the Chicago Tax Club. Jim earned his B.B.A. in Business majoring in Accounting from Loyola University, an MBA from DePaul University majoring in Marketing, and a C.P.A. Credential from the University of Illinois. Jim has always loved fishing and outdoor activities. He began his love for fishing with only a bamboo pole and black catgut fishing line. Freshwater, saltwater, and anything in between that holds fish is an opportunity to catch and release fish. Over the years fishing equipment and fishing technology have changed but a day fishing outdoors, whether you catch any fish or not, is still a great way to enjoy life at age 5 or 85.
