Deborah is currently “retired,” as she manages the Barr household with her husband and two children. She earned a B.S. in Corporate Finance from The University of Alabama, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to her “retirement” Deborah dealt with distressed manufacturing companies, both as a consultant and part of senior management. Deborah has significant experience in executive leadership at a number of non-profits, including as President of the Auxiliary Board of the Lincoln Park Zoo, President of the Glencoe Junior High Project, Co-Chair of the New Trier Graduation Party, Treasurer of the Junior League of Chicago, and several others. She is also currently the Scoutmaster for Troop 2G in Wilmette. Having grown up in the southeast, she spent her youth outdoors, fishing and hunting with her father and grandfather.
